Your privacy.
Mio is operated by BALAAY LTD. This page explains what the service uses when you sign in and rewrite text.
Your account
Google sign-in shares your Google account identifier, name, and email with Mio. Mio stores these details to recognize your account, along with your saved writing instruction, rewrite allowance, and connections to the Mio apps. Mio does not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail, Drive, or contacts.
Your words
When you request a rewrite, the text you submit and your saved instruction are sent to Mio’s server and Google Gemini to produce the result. Mio does not store your submitted drafts or rewritten results in its application database. Google processes the text under the terms and data practices applicable to the Gemini service used by Mio.
Payments
Stripe processes subscriptions and stores your payment details. Mio stores your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, payment status, and rewrite allowance. Mio does not store your card number. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the plans page.
Your computer
The desktop app uses the permissions you grant to read selected text and replace it when you use your shortcut. Your account connection is saved on your device so you do not need to sign in every time.
Invites and product improvements
Mio records account-level milestones such as opening a download page, connecting a device, saving an instruction, creating a rewrite, copying an invite, and opening checkout. It keeps daily rewrite counts to understand repeat use. These measurements do not include the contents of your text, keystrokes, IP addresses, or contact lists. When you follow a friend’s invite and download Mio, the invite can be associated with your account. The sender can see aggregate counts of people who visited the download page or tried a rewrite, but not their names or email addresses. Sharing is optional; Mio never sends invitations automatically.
Cookies and hosting
Mio uses cookies for sign-in and account security. The hosting and sign-in providers may process connection information, such as IP addresses and operational logs, to deliver and protect the service.
